The Curry School of Education is working with the National Technology Leadership Summit (NTLS) and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) to develop the Practitioner’s Guide to TPACK. This book focuses on Elementary and Secondary education and provides preservice and inservice teachers with exemplary uses of technology integration in the classroom.  I am co-authoring the chapter on elementary language arts integration, and have collaborated with the authors of the math, science, and social studies video cases.

With funding from Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell, the University of Virginia, the Curry School of Education, and the UVA School of Engineering are partnering with Charlottesville City Public Schools and Albemarle County Public Schools to form the Commonwealth Engineering Design Academies (CED Academies). Through the CED Academies, Curry and Engineering students work with K-12 teachers in Charlottesville & Albemarle to integrate the Next Generation Science Standards for engineering into science and math curriculum.  As a graduate fellow in the Center for Technology & Teacher Education, I am providing curriculum and web support for the CED Academies, as well as assistance  in workshops and inservice days for local teachers.
